The Screamers have been my favorite Memphis band for quite some time now. I always knew about them but wasn't until I randomly encountered them celebrating Dolly Parton's birthday at Wiseacre on Broad. That got them on my radar and have tried to make it to as many shows as possible. This is from one of my not really new venues Hernando's Hideway. HH has a chill vibe that always makes me comfortable and shows there are always a blast. This is probably a perfect venue for the Screamers to play. Their set that night was very different than usual and the highlight has to be finding out about the band The Hot Dogs. TN Screamers did a killer cover of "Thanks" that immediately put The Hot Dogs on my radar. Listen to some Screamers music then check out The Hot Dogs for one of the most underrated Ardent Records releases ever to be published.
